My cat Delilah passed away last September and her sister, Daisy, just passed today. I have these urns for them but I have no idea what to use to keep the lids attached to the base. Any feedback is very appreciated. I have no intention of opening the urns once the remains are placed inside and sealed so I'm looking for something to keep them shut for good. The description says silicone adhesive gel but I'm not sure which brand will work best. Thank you.

You could try using some sort of resin or wax to seal it maybe. Worst case scenario something like jb weld would work

I would use JB weld. They'll never open again short of breaking.

The link says silicon adhesive gel or a strong glue.

Glue? Caulk? Just go to home depot and get something kinda thick, squirt it around the rim, and stick the lid on. Pretty easy.

I would use epoxy, the self mixing kits with a plunger and mixing tip should do well

Go to Home Depot, head to the caulk section and look for clear silicone. There should be one there in a toothpaste style tube. That should work well and the clear finish can be good if smoothed.

I have nothing additional to add but wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss.

JB weld makes a 2 part epoxy that I think will do the job and come out looking clean without a bunch of skill.

Threadlocker. The blue is sufficient.

OP, you're getting a lot of overkill replies. i.e. JB Weld is way more than you need. Just get some hardware store clear silicone in a tube. Any brand will do the job. Kitchen/Bath or "general" - either will be fine.

Also, I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you have joyful things in your life to balance this out.
