Maybe dig a french drain? It's just a pit with rocks in it essentially.

Ah not a bad idea actually. I could get some of that nice purple slate which we already have around the garden, cement a simple ramp and then level it off with the purple rocks?

You want large to small rocks covered with dirt. Large at the bottom.

So how does the water get channeled into the drain?

A French drain starts with a pitched trench. Grading away from the start of the drain. You lay filter fabric in the trench. Add a small layer of clean 2b stone. Lay your pvc drain pipe (drilled holes down) into your trench. Fill remainder of trench with clean stone. Take the flaps of your filter fabric overlap them to close the stone filled trench. The fabric will keep dirt from infiltrating your drain system. I personally would top the drain channel with 1-3inch decorative river rock. You can terminate the end of the drain to day light or with a pop up.

You said it's already pooling right?

Yeah it’s pooling beyond the fence on the garden side, so I guess having an angled downwards course to send the water straight into the drain is what I need.
