Well, they have pumps to pump the water out. Maybe the pump has failed.

There’s usually a water discharge pump connected to the drain line in the bottom of the washer. Pretty easy to replace.

Usually involves switch that sends signal to stop fill and then one to start pump for drain. The overflow may have caused safety issue stopping the drain.

Run a snake down the drain, perhaps a sock has stopped it up.

Many of these types of washers have a filter that collects stuff from the wash water. My LG did, and I imagine if it got clogged from never cleaning it, it would back up eventually.

Likely the drain pump. 3 screws and a wiring harness. What type of washer do you have?

Look for used appliances in your area. Maybe even Facebook as there's some guys that do this in their spare time. But also some manufacturers use parts that aren't proprietary to their products. So get your blow up, it's number 43, separate your units, and gently turn over your washer and locate the part I mentioned. There's a small chance a Frigidaire has the part. But because it's a part long discontinued, it may be worth buying a used since you'll be spending 50% of a used on an old part that's only really a $40 part when it's a newer model washer. Hopefully that helps some.

Edit I meant to say look for used appliance repair guys because they may have your part you can scrap from them

Does it have a display code? Mine said 5d on the little display by the dial.

There may be something physically obstructing the pump impellers if there is no filter.
