I have stoneware (I think) dishes that I bought from Ikea a decade ago that were once white and now have gray utensil scratches all over them. Because I am about to come into possession of two different sets of dishes that I'd love to unify visually and out of an inborn sense of thriftiness, I am hoping to paint or decoupage and seal my ikea set so that I can keep using them.(I have googled, but all the research I've tried to do online refers to painting self-made, unglazed stoneware pieces.)Is that possible on a set that is already obviously glazed or finished or whatever? If so, would they still be microwave safe, etc? Thanks for your help!

I can’t think of any way to do this safe for food and heat. And if you could find a food safe option that is ok with the microwave (like maybe glass paint) it would cost a lot in materials. You’d be better to pass them on through a thrift store or a buy nothing group in your area.
