How to hang blinds for window with no drywall around it.

I have 3 windows with a half round above in the middle. No drywall or framing between the windows. Old blinds were drilled into the actual window frame to keep them up. Window guys said if I do that it will void the warranty. What do people do in situations like this?

Do we just install a curtain? I really prefer blinds.

Make peace with curtains or void your warranty. Because i was gonna tell you to drill them into the vinyl. Unless you can find ones that are adhered/stuck in place

Hang a curtain rod across the whole thing. This will go from one side of the window, span the area under the half-round, and continue to the other side of the window. Just fasten it onto the wall that's above the flat part on either side.

You don't have to touch the windows.

I bet there is wood under the drywall framing those windows. Maybe you could run some wood across that span that anchors into the wood under the drywall around the windows and hang blinds from that. There is always lots of wood around windows to anchor stuff into. Just need screws long enough to reach into it.

I have the exact same three section window with the half-round at top. We had a custom blind made for the bottom that spanned the entire width but is split at each section. That lets us raise or lower each of the three sections to our preference. The half-round was left open to allow natural light into the room, which is fine, because no one can see through that window.

Can you install a piece of wood to to go across the gap? Maybe a nice long piece of cedar? Then you’d have something to install your blinds into. The blinds rail should cover the cedar from view.
