lowkey genius. Did anybody see that poop spear that was posted to reddit a little while ago?

Float strips of toilet paper down like a “nest” before the deed. The paper will allow it to slide right down the drain.

I thought you lace the inner bowl with Vaseline ?... ><

Try more roughage, courtesy flushes and a toilet brush.

pitshands t1_it3md90 wrote

Am I understanding this right? A toilet brush wouldn't do the trick?

17

Crovali t1_it3q2oe wrote

But then there’s poo on the brush. /s

pitshands t1_it3qenz wrote

Do I have to draw a schematic on how to use and clean a toilet brush and keep it clean?

3

LivingCharacter311 t1_it3rivo wrote

If not a 60 second video (or less) no one will watch. Schematic big a word. So confuse.

Use someone else's electric toothbrush.

arothmanmusic t1_it3sq92 wrote

These fancy new “water efficient” toilets have a flatter bowl that is mostly dry so they are more prone to streaking. It’s not that a toilet brush doesn’t do the trick – it’s that you have to use one way more often because the bowl is constantly soiled.

5

MrBobaFett t1_it3vcyl wrote

Do they really want to have to brush it after every use tho?

2

CountOk5453 t1_it3ll0u wrote

Either change your diet, invest in a good toilet brush, or take a pee after your streak the bowl and make a game of it to make the tracks disappear.

15

JusticeUmmmmm t1_it3oy1k wrote

How can you possibly poop and then pee?

CountOk5453 t1_it3rtrn wrote

sometimes it just works that way

JusticeUmmmmm t1_it3uege wrote

It has literally never worked that way in my entire life.

Last time I checked there was no set order to emptying out.

louthelou t1_it3xnix wrote

Yeah, but not too many people poo, stand, flush, see streaks, and have enough left in their bladder to “wash” them off. Most people do both while sitting (I assume…?).

1

HermyMunster t1_it3rbu1 wrote

Making a game of it is only really viable for 50% of the population.

RacingLysosome t1_it3w1rz wrote

Obvious choice. Clearly they would benefit from a bidet with whatever is going on with their sticky diet, and many pre-spray the bowl for a clean flush

1

tatpig t1_it3mcip wrote

we have a long pipe run to the septic tank, so i added a bit of plastic pipe sleeved over the fill tube to raise the water level about a quart overall. more water, longer flush time to push them turds down 80’ of pipe.might help with your issue,as well.

9

arothmanmusic t1_it3p6o5 wrote

No. There is literally nothing you can do. I have the same issue with our Toto. It fit the required space and it looks very fancy, but the bowl has a 4" water target and the rest is dry. I even tried one of those non-stick spray coatings that's supposed to make the porcelain less 'sticky' and it did nothing.

There is no solution other than scrubbing the toilet constantly.

dustinlight t1_it3s0mq wrote

I feel your pain OP. My last apartment had one toilet different than the others and due to its shape it would collect the most heinous shit streaks. I’m vegan so 95% of what I eat is, ‘roughage,’ as suggested above. It didn’t matter. Everyday: shit streaks. I eventually started using Clorox pucks, the type that go in the toilet tank, and they worked a bit. There are also toilet scrubbers out there that are less disgusting than traditional scrubbers that seem to hold moisture and detritus. I’m curious to try they toilet paper landing strip suggested above. I wish you the best in all future defecations.

captainvancouver t1_it3p1c2 wrote

There are bidet attachments that have a pre-shit water spray that sprays the bowl down right before the deed. This makes the bowl slick and prevents clingons.

5

UsagiJak t1_it3nw58 wrote

Use a toilet brush to clean it?, Is this actually an issue?.

4

gotBooched t1_it3p0or wrote

You need to change your diet

It sounds like your poo is a tar like substance

3

ahu747us t1_it3ncma wrote

Add a little bidet hose? Helps cleaning the * and you could use it to wash of any remains stuck to the toilet bowl.

2

dwsolberg t1_it3qitg wrote

There's not much you can do except getting a different toilet with a different water height and/or shape.

2

pocahontasjane t1_it3qw9k wrote

Pop a square or two of folded toilet paper onto the back of the toilet bowl where the poop usually hits and it should help it slide off during flush.

Not sure how environmentally friendly those 'poo sprays' are but they seem to have an oil based coating that might help your faeces to not stick as much?

2

petuniaaa t1_it3tc7l wrote

I have heard these exact complaints about a new Koehler toilet in Reddit. See if you can find it because they worked with Koehler in some way and - I think got a different toilet out of them

BrandonC41 t1_it3tz0m wrote

Kinda weird how some toilets do this and some don’t.

wobbly-cheese t1_it3p403 wrote

i email pictures to the manufacturer advising them of the obvious design deficiency. it's not like predicting the approximate location of an asshole then ensuring there's water below that is overly difficult.

1

JennyDsings t1_it3qbba wrote

Those bowl cleaners that are gel and stick to the inside of the toilet! After an additional flush or two, the streaks are gone.

1

kcaio t1_it3qluz wrote

Leave it alone for a few minutes and let the exiting water soften it then flush again.

1

PDKiwi t1_it3r010 wrote

I have recently had three new pans installed. None are as clean as the old style ones they replaced. It is either a design fault or a result of low volume flushes not having enough force. Regular use of brush required

Runnrgirl t1_it3rrlr wrote

Throw a piece of toilet paper in the toilet before you poop.

cdka t1_it3s8pp wrote

I find if you drop a sheet of tp on top of it then it will be "wiped up" next flush- usually lol

cocomelondadismyhus t1_it3t4xf wrote

My son has turds that streak. I ask him to make a poop float before he goes. This consists of layering a few sheets in the bowl so that the poop plops on it. When flushed, it’s a magic carpet ride into HELL for the poop.

PoochusMaximus t1_it3tslz wrote

change ya diet, or alternately get a spray nozzle and attach it to your water line like a bidet but for spraying poop streaks.

1

strog91 t1_it3ufbu wrote

Buy a different toilet. Consumer Reports can tell you which ones won’t develop streaks.

I replaced all the toilets in my house with Kohler Memoirs Stately Comfort toilets. No streaks.

teddycorps t1_it3uu91 wrote

Highline is not 'low flow' like low power, it is low total gallons per flush. The aqua piston actually increases the force of the water sort of like a super soaker, and cleans the bowl better than a typical toilet. The shape is engineered to increase cleaning effectiveness not decrease it. Use toilet paper or eat more fiber and get used to centering yourself better. I have owned several models of this toilet for years and never had this issue. Sticky, formless poop can be due to diet. Not trying to shame you but a good poop should hold itself together more or less.

Possible that the compact toilet was small enough that it did not have this issue but sacrificed comfort and maintainability.

ChronoMonkeyX t1_it3w7w8 wrote

The highline has a low flush rate, try holding down the handle to let more water through at once.

Also, fiber.

I love a halloween toilet decoration, I like the good old classic, stuffed pair of pants sticking out of it.

QuillzChillz t1_it3xi8r wrote

Low flow toilets are a good intention gone bad. Before low flow toilets one flush and clean your bowl once a week and your good. Now you flush and still have poo on the bowl, so now you have to brush the bowl. Of course now you have to flush what you just cleaned, so now you’re actually wasting more water!

1

Norsetalgia t1_it3xqra wrote

Might not be the solution you’re looking for, but I have a $45 bidet I installed that has a “clean” feature that sprays water straight down at fairly high pressure. It’s intended to clean the nozzle but I imagine would work for your issue too

1

KRed75 t1_it3xtdw wrote

We have the same issue with the low flow Kohler toilets. After several minutes, it usually dissolves on its own.

There was a post yesterday about a toilet spear that may help with the cleaning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P7xgOKZ-qQ

OP needs to coat the inside of toilet bowl with a spray substance that would make the bowl more slippery and less likely to stick to

Maybe someone here has an idea on what the solution would be

I think the better answer is to change their diet so their poops are less sticky.
