Cats.š And I have one I love dearly! It's worse in the winter since I can't open windows and doors. I use OTC loratadine, which I believe is generic Claritin. š
Edited to add that I have a prescription nasal spray which really helps since I am reluctant to take meds every day.
I'm allergic to dog dander, mold, and the typical environmental factors like grasses and trees.
For treatment, I take an over the counter antihistamine daily. I also have been receiving allergy shots for about 10 years. I highly recommend CT Asthma and Allergy. They have multiple offices and are very knowledgeable. I would advise against Adult & Pediatric Allergy & Asthma in Wethersfield. I'm normally not one to slam a business, but I almost died during COVID because of them (dramatic, I know).
They were negligent with treating me for my asthma, and refused to sell me a nebulizer until I was admitted to the hospital twice. Granted, COVID made nebulizers a hot commodity, but they were very combative.
I also find using a sinus wash and spray allergen reducer really helps. Hope this was useful!
Everything, basically? When I got tested, I came up positive for every environmental allergen on the test. Pollen, pet dander, mold, bugs, dust, fungus, grass, trees- you name it, Iām probably allergic. Iām stuffy and sneezy all year round :,)
