Hi all. I'm looking for a Valentine's date idea for me and my wife, but I'm hoping to find something more fun and unique than the typical "dinner, chocolates, flowers" kind of Valentine's Day. We're around the Middletown area, but really anything within like an hour drive would be fine. Some ideas I've kicked around (just to give a sense of what I think my wife would like) were a you-paint pottery place, a paint and sip, or a coastal drive. Any ideas?

I recently did a glassblowing date night with my wife at kinship glass in Milford. It was a lot of fun. Check out their website.

A coastal drive with a picnic in the car parked somewhere scenic would be an ideal date. For me, anyway.

Spiral Arts Studio in Willimantic does a "Try it Night" - two hours of clay spinning with no obligation. You can combine it with dinner at Stone Row, Willimantic Brewing Company or The Harp on Church.

There’s Glazed Pottery in Glastonbury as well. Don’t know what shape your marriage is in, but I’d be happy to go ax-throwing with my husband.

Find a local llama or alpaca farm. Some offer alpaca walks for $50.00.

Check out the lazy potter studio in Newington! They are opening up for two couples to try wheel throwing!
