What is it about 384? Is it not patrolled as much or something? I keep seeing posts about drag racing and news blurbs about accidents related to speed and it seems like a lot for such a short highway.

You didn’t make this post for “them”. “They” will never see it and you know that. You made it for you. “I hate the fast drivers with the loud exhausts. Let’s talk about it.” Is a more honest title, but social media has brought us to being weird. (My own online crankiness included).

I'd add any residential area at midnight. Or 1 or 2 or 3 am.

Route 80 on the east haven/ New haven line. I feel sorry for people who live right there.

I've found the overnight CSP shift on 384 to be exceedingly lenient on that type of activity on a number of occasions

Speaking of which. Why? We go to 384 be used it’s a 4 lane highway to basically nowhere. I refuse to endanger others lives on major highways.

We have the same problem down here on the route 7 connector in Norwalk. Late at night/ early am during the warmer months you can here racing going up and down burning rubber, and no one seems to be doing anything about it.

In the early 80s 384 wasnt finished and connected to 84. We would drive onto 384 east from Silver Lane and from a dead stop drag race to the Hilstown St bridge a quarter mile down....

You got down voted by someone who doesn't understand just how much fun track days are.

Got to experience a few with my motorcycle. It's more of a class/hands on training thing, but you learn so much! As opposed to just holding the steering wheel straight & pushing your foot to the floor along 384.

Oh stop it. We don’t even drag on 384, we drag on Aircraft, Airport, the Turnpike Connector, or Research Parkway. A couple slow ass Subarus with high dollar fart-can exhausts doesn’t count. 🚦💨🏁

Hanging in the garage blowing lines off my favorite 90’s alternative rock album while tuning my cams til’ the wee hours of twilight. Only a true New Englander gear head can relate. 🔧😎🛞💨🏁👀

Providence but Rhode Island made a stink about it passing through their reservoirs. I-384 was signed I-84 in the '80s, and current I-84 was signed I-86. I still would have followed the route 6 alignment and terminated it at 395 or at route 6 just before the reservoirs in RI.
