That's a jet flying away from you. You're facing roughly, south by southwest, and the jet looks like it's heading slightly more southerly, maybe even southeasterly? The part of the contrail closest to you has been pushed around by the wind a bit. It looks dark, just as the clouds, because it is already in Earth's shadow. Sunset was at 4:28.

That’s how it looked. Prior to this it was a tighter spiral looking cloud.

Really? So odd looking. It looked like something falling from the sky due to the spiraling Maurice of the cloud.
