There is zero reason for Stamford schools to be closed.

The temps are supposed to drop below freezing (there will be a lot of water on the ground to turn to ice) and start snowing around 2. That plus holiday travel and the roads are going to be a nightmare this evening. Kids not only need to be able to get to school safely but get home also

It’s a half day. My school district in a neighboring town is open. It’s not supposed to snow here.

It’s not about snow. They just told you it’s about the ice. Plus it’s super windy and there is a risk of trees falling and power outages are throughout the state.

Aye I'm happy they closed our towns schools. It was only a half day anyway, the holidays literally start tomorrow.

I'm happy to start the holiday today, and not worry about my kids bus sliding and skidding into a guardrail
