They’ve been evaluating for 30hrs according to eversource site. Just trying to get an estimate
Sadly their estimates are bogus right now. I have been without power since 5am yesterday. They gave me an eta of 4pm. At 330pm it just switched to "to be determined". They called me about an hour ago giving me another eta of 430pm today, yet for some reason I don't believe them
Well, did they come through?
It's all lies, we were told 10:30pm last night and now it's 5pm tonight after also being told 10am this morning. When they don't meet the estimate they just make another one up
Unfortunately if it says evaluating there’s simply no way to know. It just means crews haven’t been sent yet to the site causing outage to begin working to fix it.
And it’s not like their estimates they provide for when it will be fixed are accurate in any way. Often if I lose power the time will substantially change multiple times.
I made a comment previously that my coworkers had the news on in the background and I thought I heard that eversource would not be able to get power to some areas for potentially a few weeks. I was really hoping I heard wrong but it's starting to seem true with the complaints I've been seeing. I really hope you and your family stay safe and warm out there. Eversource is able to shut off power this year even during winter. It's just disgusting.
Similar situation. From what I can tell they have very broad areas that they know are out due to a main line. Then feeding out from the main line could be lots of streets. If those streets also have downed lines then they might not know or have those secondary streets listed until the main line is up.
That’s what happened to us. We got a text that our power was back. It wasn’t. Our street still had trees over the power lines.
Had to report the outage again and go through the waiting all over. Their restore estimates - unless your on a main line - appear to be mostly guesses.
When the lights suddenly come back on is usually a pretty good indication.
Take 12 eversource employees hostage and threaten to kill 1 every hour until they fix the power. They should be done in about 13.
You can’t. You either get lucky and it comes back soon or you are not lucky and you have to wait
Your lights will turn on.
That said, they tend to repair larger clusters first. Are you in a populated area or out in the woods?
When it's low volume outages, the predictions have a reasonable chance of being correct. When it's a high volume of outages, I can't imagine they can predict it with any real accuracy at scale.
I'm never being an Eversource customer without my own generator again. Which is f'ing ridiculous in and of itself.
When your lights go on…that’s how it’s always been.
And yet this state still builds power infrastructure above ground. Could have had this solved if the investment was made after that October storm maybe 10 yrs ago that had a lot of the state out for a week plus and then sand I believe the very next year for another 5-10 days in most spots.
Hmmm maybe some of the BILLIONS being sent overseas to help with border security in countries that have great records on corruption. Or even some of the millions to study how long it takes to whack off a horse in Turkmenistan. Or any of the other nonsense that none of these jokers that supposedly represent us have any idea wtf they even voting on… seriously fuck my political views and yours. That’s just plain wrong. 1.7 T
1,700,000,000,000!!!!!!!! What is going on???
Call your provider.
Eversource will find a way.
When the lights come back on, sorry the power is out but eversource’s estimates are a joke.

A magic 8 ball.
Wait...
Eversource = Grinch Hope everyone is in good health. I know we are not agreeing in every way but i would say. Have a Merry Christmas to you and your family
Contact your local government official. They often have contact with the company and get more accurate estimates.
Dont worry, they will just double the rates again to try and be faster next time.
Ask my neighbor. He knows everything.
