Should I be worried? I've had a driver's license for over 20 years and haven't taken an exam since I first obtained it. I'm worried that the questions will be overly technical. If so, any good practice test websites?

Is your license from your prior state still valid? We moved in late August, didn't have to retest, just pay the fees, snap a photo, and wait for the new license in the mail.

You can download the CT drivers manual on the DMV website. There are no questions on the test that are not explained in the manual.

The rectal part can be brutal.
You can transfer an out of state license up to two years from the expiration date, so you should be fine

If you worry about the test, study (resources posted above). If you fail, you probably shouldn’t be allowed to drive. Not trying to be mean, just realistic.
Most people in CT can't drive and they got their license so you should be fine 🤣
I can say that, after many years, the written part can be tricky. I got my license at 16 in MA. I went for my motorcycle permit at 25 and the written test was heavily skewed towards 16 year olds getting their car permit. Half of the questions were obscure things from driver's ed manuals that no one really needs to know on a daily basis. I passed by the skin of my teeth after getting 100% on it nine years earlier!
Do you know how to sit in traffic? If so, you’ll probably be all set on your test.
If you can drive round the block without wrecking you’ll be all good.
Happy to report they did not require a knowledge test (only vision).
