I feel like you need to visit more arenas if you think the XL center hasn’t been updated since the 70s.

I was there with my son recently and had a great time. Pretty much on par with what I’d expect for an AHL arena.

There are no stairs crumbling falling apart lol. It’s the XL Center in Hartford dude, home of the Hartford Wolfpack lol. Go to Barclays in BK if you want something state of the art.

Clearly your first time there. It’s actually been improved quite a bit. Unfortunately without a professional team in hartford this is what we have. No, It’s not state of the art. But it’s pretty darn good compared to some places. Place will be jamming tonite for the UConn game. Go to a sold out event. It’s way different than 2000 people at a Wolfpack game.

Ah ok. Yeah those front row seats are not always great for hockey. The glass messes up your view. Best views are like 10-15 rows back so you are up above the glass. Also I think behind the goals is great. I’ve def regretted getting seats behind the benches and penalty boxes. As far as the seats themselves, the front section seats have been that way for decades. They are removable for stuff like monster trucks. I’ve been going there since the 80’s. It’s def aged but it’s still got some life in it. One day maybe we will get the nhl back. Christ even Detroit has all 4 major sports. Are we worse than Detroit? /sobs uncontrollably.

Watching the Villanova game now. I hate the new basketball floor! The huskies eyes freak me out and I don’t like the two tone wood.

I haven’t seen it yet. I’ll have to check the highlights. Don’t let those husky eyes hypnotize you!

I have a feeling that every time you leave the house you are confronted with one colossal inconvenience after another. It must be a chore to live in a state of perpetual dissatisfaction.

You should have told the staff. They would have gladly accommodated you. Seats do break, especially when other folks stand on them at events.

I guess they're doing a pretty good job if you didn't notice that there's a major renovation/ addition happening there. They literally cut out a side of the building and a portion of the arena to build a state of the art sportsbook and bar.

Some recent renovations happened as well. Check out The Coleseum Club next time. It's top notch for an AHL arena.

It's the best venue in the state perfectly fine for minor league hockey and girls basketball

Yeah it's a dump for sure. It needs to be demolished and rebuilt in a location where the residents aren't all living on food stamps and section 8.

Are you sure you were at the XL Center? I was there two weeks ago for Cirque de Solei and it was absolutely fine. Seats weren’t that comfortable, but I don’t expect much in a stadium setting.
