Sure, we're not exactly a swing state, but voting still matters.
Low voter turnout is the most effective way to get unfavorable legislation passed, and each year millions are spent to chip away at the numbers, to increase the amount of disaffected voters. These numbers are tracked year over year both at the state and national level to see if their “tactics” are working. Your vote lets them know you're still here and paying attention.
If you are young: the youth vote is a joke and always has been. If you've ever wondered why this country doesn't focus on you, it's because you don't have the turnout to justify it. That changes if you vote.
