I could order for 3.89 on purplefuel but this would break my service contract. My usual provider is 4.59. Prob be about $150 difference. There is some peace of mind having the service contract but over the heating season that’s prob $500 difference easily

When you furnace shits the bed on New Year’s Day and it’s zero degrees out, having a service contract benefits you. Good luck getting someone to come out when you don’t have a contract with them.

Okay, so it’s worth it in exceedingly rare cases. Sounds like an expensive insurance policy you’ll likely never use.
