Oil Types

Hi everyone! New homeowner here. My hearing tank is half full, so I’d like to fill it up before it starts to really get cold. The first company I researched has this oil called “BioUltra4”. Now I’m wondering if there are other types of oils and which one I should ask for. Any help would be appreciated!

cashheatingoil.com is your best bet to find the lowest price. The price just came down like a dollar ($4.45g today) so get it while you can - my oil company is no longer locking in rates so I use this website to keep an eye on things.

Check cheapestoil.com and cashheatingoil.com and pick whoever is cheapest, it's all the same

As others have said watch cash heating oil.com it’s all the same stuff.

I’m not sure if you are near Bethany at all but I always use Bethany Fuel, he’s a local guy that is usually just a little higher than the low on cash heating oil but I’m willing to pay the extra for good service and supporting local/small. He also knows what he’s doing and won’t overfill etc.

I think he travels within 25 mins or so of Bethany but not positive.

Home heating oil is actually regulated to a fair degree so local companies will sell the extra same thing. Also the infrastructure is such that no one is making their own, it comes in large batches that are sold to local companies. The biggest variation might be some company that is doing a poor job storing it between them buying it and delivering it to you so it might be contaminated but that's hopefully rare.

There are different types of oil. There's the regular home heating oil and there's recycled cooking oil blends. They say the later pollutes less.

Any differences are just marketing gimmicks, like how some gas stations advertise their gas as being able to clean your engine or some other feature. Probably technically true but practically there is very little difference. Just go with whatever is cheapest.
