Yes, CT is a "one-party" state meaning only one party to a conversation needs to consent to the recording (meaning you, but not the other person).

Can you record a conversation without consent in ct?

Connecticut requires at least one party's consent to record an in-person conversation.

For telephonic conversations, consent of all parties is required to avoid potential civil liability, though criminal penalties do not apply if at least one party has consented to the recording.

Just an FYI, one party consent does not mean you can drop a recorder (or video recorder) in a room without you being there and secretly record a conversation. You have to be present and the other party has to be aware of your presence, you just don't have to inform them that you are recording. I say this because I heard some idiot trying to get around getting into trouble by secretly recording guests in an AirBnB by using the excuse that he was in a one party consent state.

Your link is to doorbell cams, it's mixed. If your talking to them yup one party consent and nobody is going to get anywhere on civil it's too ubiquitous at this point though posting signage does not hurt. The motion detected or 24/7 audio with video is not, doubt your going to get in trouble for it but it's one of those piss off a cop they may throw it on the pile.

So what if you have a Ring camera but I don’t know that and while I’m standing on your porch waiting for you to answer I’m talking on the phone to someone else and your Ring camera records that? Did I consent? Are you liable under the eavesdropping statutes?
