(Connecticut Secretary of the State) Connecticut voters can now request an absentee ballot online at myvote.ct.gov/GetMyAB. This new webpage allows voters with a Connecticut driver's license to conveniently request an absentee ballot online, rather than having to mail in an application or visit their town clerk in person. For more information about how to vote, visit myvote.ct.gov.

The website appears to be a little buggy on my phone browser (specifically, I cannot click in the signature box to sign my name) but this is still very exciting! Look at CT trying to come into the 21st century finally! Thanks for sharing

Thanks for posting. Didn’t realize this was coming out. Just used it to get mine, with no problems.

The signature part, if you consent to use your signature from the DMV, it imports it and populates it for you. I didn’t have to actually sign anything. Super easy. Took like 30 seconds.

This also works for state IDs as well. Not sure why they released it saying driver’s licenses.

I think Democrats sent something out to registered Dems to get absentee ballots.

Is this early voting? I thought that was on the ballot this year? Am I missing something?

Absentee ballots are able to be used this year due to covid I believe. This is not early voting. This is absentee ballots as I think that's the only version of mail voting in CT. I think early voting is something different than mail in and absentee. I know MA has early voting and my parents do that now.

Yes. You can request an absentee ballot and drop it off or mail it in, ahead of Election Day. Hopefully, they permanently expand this option. This year they’re still allowing people to use it due to the presence of Covid. I can’t imagine that will continue much longer.
