You said “so is the rest of the United States” when I can assure you that a whole swath of the United States is not beautiful or desirable. Dead cornfields and dark grey drab weather for many months with subzero temps. I’ve lived it. The United States is best in the Rockies (where I live now) and New England. I’m not sure I could break it down more simple….
