Sort of. Lamont and Stefanowski already debated a few weeks ago. Blumenthal and Levy are scheduled to debate in 2 weeks.

This was a debate scheduled by 2 other organizations. The candidates never agreed to it, they just turned down the invitation offered.

They are debating, just not this one. And if you wanted to hold your own debate next week and invite them they'd probably turn you down too.

League of Women Voters is a credible organization and turning them down isn't great but this isn't all together terrible.

Is the below not accurate? Shows a debate slated for the 25th and for the 27th. Are they listing it regardless of whether or not they accepted maybe?

CTPublic scheduled them before anyone RSVP'ed. Trying to shame them into showing up I guess.

edit: To further add

> The campaign of Gov. Ned Lamont agreed Friday to two televised debates with Republican Bob Stefanowski, half the number of head-to-head contests between the duo in 2018 when they competed for an open seat.

> This year, at least five broadcasters offered to host debates, including WFSB on Oct. 6, News 12 on Oct. 25, and CPTV with the League of Women Voters on Oct. 27.
