Hi - my partner (33m) and I (27f) are hoping to move to CT this fall. We’ve been looking at all the coastal towns between Old Saybrook and Stonington. What are some of the pros & cons for the different areas?

I’ll be moving from Fort Collins, CO and he’ll be moving from Brooklyn, NY. We both work remote and are hoping to rent/feel out the area before we try to buy.

That's a very nice quiet area though it gets pretty busy in the summer. The Lymes are probably the best towns.

If you're looking for a town with water I would recommend Milford, CT. While it doesn't count as coastal it does have multiple beaches, good schools, safe neighborhoods, a mall, a movies, and a train station that can get you directly to NYC.

Downtown Milford is a great place to rent. There's a beautiful green, lots of restaurants, and the train as I mentioned (your boyfriend might want to visit Brooklyn or even just Manhattan).

It's just something I wanted to throw out there.
