2 x 5 x 50 = 500 hours
500 / 24 = 20.83 days
500 / 8 = 62.5 work days
Yikes!

I feel like some people secretly like these insane commutes. If I had say 4 kids I’d probably like 4 hours alone in my car 5 days a week

I had close to a total of two hours daily for a commute before the pandemic (It was probably around an hour and 45 minutes). I hated it. However, the job was one that was the right direction for my career, even though it was far away from home.

Yeah, I had a similar commute pre-covid and I realized that I was spending upwards of 20 days a year sitting in my car, in traffic.
I'm still remote work all but one day a week, and I figure that I'd, at the very least, need to take a HEFTY raise to be convinced to do that commute again.
Got a new car in 2020 and it's only got 20k miles on it today - the wear and tear remote work has saved is pretty great, too.

I get more work done at home because I don't have people coming into my office to bitch collaborate.
That's with the time I waste on Reddit!
