CT is usually near the bottom of the upper quartile in any given year going back at least a couple decades. Anybody who screams about “highest taxes in the country” is off their rocker.

Wow, it looks like the city mill rate is to blame, property and auto are far above the average.
Side note though, looks like that data is 20 years old…the article is from 2003.
