Hi all, looking to take a nice scenic drive with my girlfriend on our next day off together. I don’t mind driving a bit to get somewhere, as long as we find some nice views. Any thoughts?

Sugarloaf Mountain area. Haven’t been in a really long time. But I recall lots of hiking, from east to difficult trails.
Drive out to harpers ferry west va, hike up to Maryland heights. Amazing views and cool town
Could try driving to Shenandoah national park.
If you go up and drive through Thurmont & the Catoctin Mountain/Cunningham Falls area, it's a really pretty drive, even in the winter.
Probably want to leave the state of Maryland for that one. Not much scenery here. I’d recommend WV.
Depends...you want rocks/mountains/forests and rugged nature? Go west. Want water/beach, go east over the bay bridge.
I know you said "drive" but C&O Canal and Great Falls is not too far and I really enjoyed walking around there. Offers a bit of both. You can hike along the Potomac but there's also a lot of rugged forest and rocky terrain around too.
Ilchester Road in Ellicott City is a nice drive.
If you want some pretty country side/woods near by try driving around sykesville/eldersburg area or anywhere on Google maps that’s the green color is more likely to be a rural area which can be relaxing to drive by. Just watch for deer! I hit one unfortunately. Thankfully my car wasn’t too damaged.
Depends on your definition of Scenic. Is driving around visiting Covered Bridges sound good? A number here in Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. Or talking of Pennsylvania, have you visited Gettysburg? It has a great visitor center and a noted driving tour.
Also, Bonnie Branch, River Road, Newcut Road.
Edit, makes a nice bike ride, if your into road riding.
Bridges are nice, trees, mountains, rivers. Just not buildings lol. Thanks!
