Any restaurants with great outdoor space that are open for lunch?

I searched /r/columbiamd and most of the "outdoor dining" recommendations focus on the food, which is great and all, but then you're sitting at a table with a view of a parking lot.

Both UMI Sushi and Revel & Main in Old Ellicott City have nice outdoor dining areas, but hoping to try something new!

Dive Bar in Savage Mill has a large outdoor seating area overlooking woods and the Little Patuxent River.

Great food too.

The Turn House porch is pretty nice - fun to watch people chip into 9 and generally a nice breeze.

Leelyn's is fine f&d wise but depending on where you sit it's not too shabby and they have a porch with huge windows that open for those in between fall afternoons.

Neither is amazing but I'll keep thinking about it. Unless whatever replaces Clyde's is a dumpster fire it should be decent too.

I like white oak tavern for something close by. Still by the parking lot but the other side is trees, so get a table towards the back. Not a lot of great nature based outdoor dining right in the area that I can think of. I’ve always wanted to stop by Woodstock Inn.

Not what you were asking… But if you want a cool spot for beer check out Elder Pine. A bit of a drive but their outdoor area is spectacular. You can check their Facebook or website for food trucks. Most importantly their beer is top notch if you’re not familiar with it.

Haven’t yet been to the Food Market in Columbia by the mall but it’s definitely hard to see the outdoor section from the street and it looks like it has a nice ambiance.

Victoria Gastro Pub has a view of a parking lot, but the space they have enclosed it actually rather nice.

Leelyn near dorsey search has a really wonderful outdoor are and the food is quite good. Service can be on the slow side and you are rather close to 108 so get some road noise. I still really enjoyed it though.

The Corner Stable would work too - it's a view of the KC village center, but as far as they go it's a nice village center.

Clarksville Commons will also have outdoor seating, that is at least not a view of a parking lot.

Dok Khao Thai has the outdoor patio and a view of the green space in the new Merriweather area.

Turn House has views of the golf course

Sonoma Grill is only open for lunch on the weekends, but the patio out back sits right on the trails instead of the parking lot side. I've been meaning to stop there for a beer sometime but never do.

Turn house has a nice patio with hood course views, walrus oyster house at the mall has a nice indoor/outdoor area and union jacks as well by the mall. There is a spot in the hotel at lakefront that looks to have outdoor seating overlooking the lake, think it’s called LaK? Another one would be manor hill brewing companies farm have their beers/seltzers plus pizza on site now and frequent food trucks.

Was thinking of the lakefront too. Sushi Sono isn't "outdoor" seating per se but the view is great! I'm excited about the hopefully not-dumpster-fire future of the stuff opening up there.

Although it's still not a place with a true 'view,' the patio at Cured is cute and feels slightly glitzy. The food and drinks absolutely cannot be beat!!
