For weeks now I have watched drivers not stop for kids in the crosswalk near one of the high schools. Who do you contact to put up additional signage or have HCPD conduct some enforcement? It is a 2- way stop now that should really be a 4 - way stop. I have watched kids and adults dodge cars while in the crosswalk. It is like watching a game of chicken.

You can call the non-emergency police number at 410-313-2200. Also, you probably have a designated Community Outreach Officer that you could contact. Your village should know who that officer is.

They have done targeted traffic enforcement in response to these types of requests. Can't guarantee it will work for you but its worth a try!

Some drivers will ignore the crossing guard as well. Some people are just dicks.

Hmm, I'm gonna go with contacting HCPD for the enforcement situation, but that's just a wild guess.

As for signage, depends on if it's a county road or state, contact Howard County public works or the state highway administration as appropriate.
