Wondering if anyone here is using Starry Internet for a provider. They recently announced the bankruptcy and I saw an email where the founder said that it won't change anything in any big way. I'm still not sure, though - any ideas on what's going to service from them down the road? Is it going to be of lower quality?

They will probably get gobbled up by a cell phone company. I don’t see the point of their service when you can get the same thing with more perks from T-Mobile or Verizon home internet.

I'm a customer still and see no reason not to trust them. My alternative is Comcast and they're infinitely worse.

Been using starry for 3+ years. I was using their $50 plan which on special went down to $25 over the summer. The lag got so bad recently that I had to upgrade to their $65 plan, no issues so far and no speed issues.

Their stock price has dropped 99.9% over the past year and is basically a penny stock now...it basically went from $10 to not even a cent in under a year.

If you live in a condo/apartment building you should get building admins to contact netblazr. They operate similar to starry, peer to peer mesh network. My building has both netblazr and starry and now with the bankruptcy the people using starry are moving to netblazr.

I use Starry and it's so cheap - I had one outage for about an hour but that's it. Feels a little "too good to be true"...so hoping it stays in business.
