Anyone else hear banging noises around Cambridge right now? It sounds like fireworks maybe but a little louder than normal fireworks…

Heard them in Cambridgeport. Didn’t sound like fireworks too sporadic and too deep of a boom

There is a construction project near Alewife that is pile driving for the next few months, maybe they were doing some off hours. I read somewhere else that they are behind schedule.

I heard at least 30 ring out starting around 11:15pm ET. All the same tone. Didn’t quite sound like fireworks to me, but hopefully not gunshots? Were they coming from Central Square?

Similar sounds in Lower Allston, very scary and don't sound like fireworks.

Probably banging rods into the ground to build a high rise. I watched them do this for like 9 months at one dalton.
