The new protected bike lanes on Mass Ave in North Cambridge are really great progress, and I'm looking forward to the city extending them all the way into Harvard Square. It'll make getting around a lot safer and prevent accidents.

I'm also hoping that Memorial Drive continues to be bike and pedestrian only on Saturdays and Sundays in the warmer months--and would love to see that extended all the way down to MIT. It's great for bikers and pedestrians.

Memorial drive is great on the weekends! No cars to worry about, although a bit short.

Minutemen trail is good too if you're willing to go a bit out of Cambridge.

If you're down for longer trail rides, the Minuteman Trail, starting up by Alewife is a lot of fun!

Yeah, entirely paved. If you go a couple blocks past the Bedford end of the trail, you'll get to the Reformatory Branch trail, which is a mix of single track, double track, and gravel. It's delightful, and ends in Concord.

Edit: lolz, spelling

There a lot of unpaved sections and loops around the Charles, Fresh Pond, the reservoir near BC, the mystic lakes in winchester, etc. There are gravel and mountain bikable paths through the Fells and Blue Hills.

In Danvers, there's a rail-trail that's all unpaved and runs for about 5 miles.
