Shanti, Passage to India, and Momo and curry are great for northern Indian/ Himalayan. Was not impressed with Punjabi dhaba. For Southern I love the new fusion spot in seaport - madras dosa factory. Husband and I are both Indian by descent, born here, so our taste buds are a little blended but we grew up on the authentic stuff

Have you tried Maharaja or Guru the Caterer? Former I like for, let’s say, “standard” Indian restaurant fare, Guru is really good homestyle North Indian. I continue to hunt for a good Gujarati restaurant but alas, this is probably not the area for it.

For good guju food I’d say edison NJ for closest but there may be some options in CT
