Toastmaster B700C. Bought by my great grand-parents. Inherited by my hunt in early 90's. Given to me in 2000 when I leaved home for college. Still running good but toasts are not dark anymore on the highest settings. Any adjustment possible?Miguel7501 t1_j9zdzym wrote
Maybe it could use a cleaning. Take it apart and wipe the internals down with some vinegar and then water and let it dry.

I just opened it. It is very dirty for sure. I looked at the mecanism. It is very simple. There is a small tab touching the toast level slider. I gave it a small bend. I'm letting the bottom part soak in warm water and little dish soap to soften up years of bread bits (and occasional egg roll crunchin after reheating in microwave). Will brush them off and let dry. And repost again tomorrow with the results.
