I had a pair for almost 8 years before they were STOLEN in a move.
I wish I could get them back so badly, they were the best shoes I’ve ever owned.

Did they stop making these?

How do you clean them?

I believe they make a more rugged version now. I would buy a pair but my originals like OP are still going. Mine are currently 10 years old.

I just wiped them down with a wet cloth and rubbed in some Huberd’s Shoe Grease, which I got turned onto by another BIFL user.
Edit: Also, just a note, I used the same product to refinish the leather on a pair of Redback boots, a Carhartt belt, my wallet, and a Leatherman belt case. They all came out looking great!

I love these shoes (I had a different cut and colour), but best pair of shoes I’ve ever had.
Good post.

I've had a pair of timberland winter boots for over 10 years. Definitely high quality stuff

How much does it cost to get new soles? Do you replace them yourself?
Nickodyn OP t1_j7qnjnz wrote
It's been a while since I had it done so I can't quite remember but I think around $30. Good shoe repair stores are hard to find where I live but I would personally rather the professionals do the job for me.

Had Timberland Brookling 6 Inch (x Wood Wood version) since 2019 as my daily winter boots, still looks pretty much brand new if you don't count slight amount of dirt on the sole (been too lazy to clean 'em regularly)

$30? The shoe repair store I went to charged $90 for it

They're on sale from Finish Line for ~65$ clearance right now. Limited sizes.
Just got my pair. Finish Line has been hit/miss as the first pair came scuffed badly, replacement pair they sent were two completely different boots that didn't match in the wrong size, second replacement I'm pretty sure were the same as the first pair since they're scuffed up. YMMV, but nothing a good leather care buffer can't fix and for the price they're a steal.
