Two years ago I bought my gf an electric blanket from BB&B online. It cost around $60 and assumed that it would at least last us 5 years.

It turned out to not be the case, after 3 months of regular use, the blanket’s control module stopped working, and required that I call the manufacturer to send us a new one.

The new blanket lasted us until the beginning of spring but we didn’t realize it until we took the blanket out of the closet when the fall chill arrived. Same deal, called manufacturer and they just sent us a replacement.

It’s winter again and we’ve got 5 blankets that do not work at all in our closet. I see no point in calling for a new blanket if it won’t even last 4 months. If anyone knows of a brand of electric blankets that actually lasts, please list them below, I don’t mind to pay a premium if they at least last multiple years and the warranty is airtight

Edit: the brand is Brookstone from London Luxury Brands

What brand is electric blanket you gotten?

I got sunbeam, mine lasted 7 years before my cats torn the cable. My mom had old one don’t know the age but it lasted awhile. It just got to point where it wasn’t heating up good

Brookstone was the brand. I think it was a bb&b exclusive label or something

I've been through 2 king-sized sunbeam's in 3 years in New England winters. On my 2nd now and 1/2 of my side (dual controls) doesn't even heat up at all, so once this winter is over, so is this blanket.

Maybe I've just had 2 lemons, but what are the odds of that....

My sunbeam lasted through my tossing and turning and regular use for years. It's stopped working now but even before then it would heat even part of the blanket.

our sunbeam heated mattress pads are doing great, ~6 years in.

I second the heated mattress pad. Ours is not Sunbeam since we liked dual controls, but still doing fine.

Sunbeam has been our goto. We have 3 throws for different rooms and a dual-zone for our bed. Had all of them for years.

With 2-3 times a week usage, all my Sunbeams have failed after 6 months. The quality ain't there any more.

I've tried all other electric blankets and have the same result.

I gave up on electric blankets and switched to sherpa throws. Easy to wash and very warm. Family loves them.
