I love the Ekornes recliners, but be aware - peoples’ heads have quite a combo of oils and acids in their hair, even clean hair. Without regular cleaning and conditioning of the leather - say, annually - the leather will eventually break down and you will have a raggedy-ass hole in your gorgeous chair.
Source: personal experience.

Yeah we have a natussi leather couch next to this chair that our basset hound is on often, we clean and condition every couple months.

This leads me to one of my favourite words in English: antimacassar.

I went searching online for antimacassars a while back and had to wrack my brain for dumbed-down synonym phrases to get any results.

I have noticed that certain people's oils tend to be more corrosive than others. One of our coworkers has this and his VR headsets foam always seems to dissolved away while mine and others are fine for years.
