I had a Dakine for roughly 14 years before I handed it down to my niece. She still has it three years later.

I've been using my Dakine for 10.5 years now almost daily and is still in good shape.

Dakine made a good backpack when I had one, got about 7 years of daily use out of it

I’ve had my Dakine since 2006 (grade 8 baybee) and it still looks new. Have hiked, travelled all over the world with it.

I have a both brands and they've held up well. My swiss gear is almost 16 years old with mild signs of wear. I swapped it for the Dakine with waist strap for back problems. The Dakine weighs less, but also has a couple holes that haven't changed in years. I have no complaints about either.

I have used and abused my dakine backpack for over 10 years and it is still holding up, the only thing that has worn out on it was the inner plastic lining but other than thst its still solid👍

I have an almost identical Swissgear laptop bag that I’ve had for 12-13 yrs now. It was my daily gym back for 9-10 yrs. Still as good as the day I bought it.

Do you find it comfortable? Someone else said that their Swissgear bag has thin straps and isn't very comfy

Buy a used osprey backpack. If it ever rips or fails they repair or send you a new one for free.

GoRuck is the best BIFL back pack. She ain’t cheap, but it’s one of the truly BIFL items I own. The bonus is their utility. Open up all the way flat, lots of zipper compartments. Two large compartments and a large laptop sleeve. Great for frequent travelers or daily users alike. Also lots of carabiner attachments for exterior attachments.
