You just put it in the washing machine?

It's never been washed. Smacked the hell out of to get dust off of it at times, but that's it. This thing baffles me.

What the heck! It looks so clean! This is one of my favourite subs at the moment, the simple reason being posts like this showing something that has lasted crazy long, with a little story about the product. Makes me excited and happy in a really nice way :)

I have no idea. I haven't had to buy another so far. But, they seem to be a good brand overall!

I’m wondering this too. I see a lot of people sharing bags on here are made in the early 90’s-00’s and are great, but the brand has gone down in quality since. Which is disappointing if you’re looking to buy one :/ I’m on the hunt for a good day pack, but my search hasn’t been too successful yet

You know you are old school with them Mountainsmiths! They never failed me in high school whether it be the school bags or the hip bags!

I have a similar Mountainsmith backpack (red rock 25) I used it every day in middle school, high school, and now college.
Although I have recently switched to the mountain hardware J Tree 22 due to its functional bucket bag design. Both are definitely buy it for life items

This was my only pack for a month in Thailand. It's been with me for a month in France, a couple of weeks in Japan, has been to Burning Man twice, and I take it on every road trip. Any other backpack would be in tatters with what this has been through and it's still good as new. It's easily the best pack I've ever owned.
