Bought these 100% leather gloves from Costco 5 years ago. $25 did seem pricey for gloves but I bought them anyways. Even today they are going great. Great value for money. They seem BIFL to me, but let’s see

I have some military issue gloves....I think they were $12 new on ebay a couple years ago. Lambskin--equal or better quality than $75 department store gloves.

Calf or lamb skin. Looks like lambskin.

You're likely not getting lamb for $25, plus I'm looking at the stitching and the palms where the creases are. It doesn't look like calf, so I would guess pig skin. 100% (or genuine) leather is actually a grade of leather. It's one of the lowest grades. But even pigskin will last a long time. I have a trenchcoat that is 25 years old in pigskin, and it looks brand new through every single winter. I usually I have to maintain it near the end of the season before it gets put away, but it's been great.

Disclaimer: I have owned a LOT (like a shit ton) of leather items (specifically gloves, shoes and coats) over the years, but I could be completely wrong. Costco has often had some great deals and a $25 pair of lamb leather gloves is not completely out of the realm of possibility.

I don’t have enough knowledge to figure out what kind of leather it is.

Would this suffice for Canadian Winter !?

Probably depends on where in Canada you live, it's pretty big.

Uhoh. I just remembered I used my dad’s pair for snow shoveling last year. They were his good driving gloves. I got them scratched up and salted. Fudge. Know where I can get similar looking replacements cheap?

I will attest to quality though. They lasted 2 years of heavy winter snow removal use.
