Same for me. I have no idea how to tighten it up properly.

I switched to a ratchet belt system and never looked back. No training necessary lol

Jic you had it wrong (like me), you don't double back the tail of the belt. It goes through the lip and continues that direction... For awhile I didn't realize that, and would try to double back the belt, and it obviously never worked.

Doing it the way you should and it works so well, for me at least

Appreciate the comment, but no. I knew that, and it still never got tight enough for me.

That's weird, maybe the buckle is defective? I haven't had this problem at all, I can get this belt way too tight if I want to. I usually have to loosen it a bit
