I love hoodies and crew necks but in the past have always bought low quality ones. What do you recommend for good options that will hold up?

If there was one that would fit a female's figure also??? 👀 I've been wearing men's clothes to work for the past decade, but I'm not box shaped. Just buy men's clothes because that is what will last longer than a week and be long enough to cover up my butt. I've been wearing Gildan t-shirts, and Hanes hoodies, better if I can find ones made in the US from the thrift store, because they're not anymore. American Apparel built solid t-shirts when they were still made in the US, but they're also not anymore, so they have to be a lucky find at the thrift store. Would be nice to know a brand still making quality apparel that doesn't have to be purchased secondhand.

Camber is great. Find them on All USA Clothing. Small company in a small town, doing things the same way they have since their founding in the 70s. They refuse to cut quality to increase production so depending on what you order it may be a few months.

FWIW, I recently had the chance to compare/contrast the Flint and Tinder 10 year hoodie to American Giant's "Greatest Hoodie". IMO, both similar quality, the material on the F/T is a little softer, but the big thing for me was that the AG was tailored a bit better. Not slim fit, but that thing in hoodies where you immediately look 7 months pregnant when you zip it up wasn't there. The AG non-hood jacket from the same material is a great sweater.
While I'm overall not crazy about Jachs quality, they are running a deep sale on hoodies/pullovers right now, and while not BIFL, they're worth the money when they're on sale. I have two colors of https://www.jachsny.com/collections/mens-pullovers/products/j20c-343-pf7 and wear them all the time in winter. Very warm, very comfortable. Only thing to watch out for with Jachs is that a) some things are dry clean only that you wouldn't expect to be, so check the item details, and b) they sometimes advertise things as, for example, merino wool that are 5% merino wool. Just bugs me.
I'm really impressed w/ any Faherty stuff I've bought (2 hoodies and a great heavy sweater), and am considering https://fahertybrand.com/products/donegal-ombre-crew-navy-storm-ombre?variant=40318372053061. I'm kind of sweatered out right now, though.

I don’t know what country you’re in but RM Williams in AUS makes some great ones (bit of a national treasure company)
I think Fjallraven makes some really good/last forever knits but don’t know if that suits the hoodies and crew style?
Other then that I really rate Uniqlo, I bought a decent front loader and some good quality detergents a few years ago and looked after Uniqlo gear is an underrated choice

Uniqlo makes great clothes. I'm a tweener size there unfortunately but the couple pieces that do fit are great.

Eddie Bauer signature crewnecks/hoodies are super thick and comfortable. I’ve only had mine for a few years though. American giant is another good brand

Bayside USA is made in USA. Super thick and durable. Not really a fashion cut, but more budget friendly. These are blanks places buy to put their own designs on, but nothing wrong with plain sweatshirts. I don't own their sweatshirt but have some tshirts. They get a lot softer as you wear them and abuse them. I will link their site but you will probably have to find a retail seller somewhere else.

American Giant - great quality. I've owned (own) several over the years and their hoodies give me around 10 years before the cuffs will fray. And I'm pretty hard on my gear and every-day wear. Plus they're made in the USA.
