Hi everyone,

My sister just told me about the Stanley 40 oz Quencher. I’m a big water drinker and formerly carried around the 1L Yeti with me when running errands/at work. That was tedious though, because it didn’t fit in the cup holder. Oftentimes that led to me tossing it in the back seat of my car and it rolling around aimlessly. I switched to the Yeti tumbler which I like better, but I like the idea of having a liter+ of ice water on me at all times.

My question is: if you’ve bought the Stanley, do you love it? Especially if you typically buy Yeti products. The comparable Yeti is 35 oz, so the Stanley has the advantage of size. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Stanley re: it’s capacity to keep things cold.

Honest reviews would be much appreciated! I love my Yeti cups and have never regretted purchasing one, so potentially branching out makes me anxious.

Thank you!

I have maybe 10 Stanley Quenchers and I do not regret my purchases. I personally think that Stanley does a better job than yeti and hydroflask of keeping ice/drinks cold. The only annoying thing about it is that if you knock it over it’s literally like opening the floodgates, even the 2.0 version still spills a ton. So, I don’t think you can go wrong with a quencher.

BUT

I’ve recently saw that Simple Modern now essentially has a Quencher dupe and honestly even though I haven’t tried that one (yet) I think it’s probably better than the Stanley quencher. I bought my first simple modern cup a few years ago and I think it’s the BEST, like it would keep ice for DAYS, it’s only flaw in my opinion was that it was not dishwasher safe, so I did not purchase anymore. Now they have a Quencher dupe and it’s dishwasher safe and I’m 100% going to buy one because I think it’ll be the perfect cup. Oh and if you knock over Simple Modern cups they don’t leak horribly.

Big bummer that the simple modern one is sold out on their website at the moment :( thanks for the advice, though! I’m going to keep an eye out for restocks.

Just throwing this out there, you could just carry 2 half liter bottles. You probably have 2-3 cup holders within reach while driving. They would fit better in the cup holders and be easier to carry around.

I don’t want to carry around 2 half liter bottles all day though? That’s impractical. Thanks though.

My GF bough one of these about a year ago. She left it on the roof of her car and it flew off broke the lid and dented it so that the threads are messed up. I am going on 9 years with a $10 nalgene style bottle. seems to be doing just fine. it has flown off forklifts and down hilly trails alike and no major damage other than usual wear and tear. If you have a functional Yeti no need to buy another.
