Following advice of previous posts I recently purchased the LL Bean shearling boots only to read today that they are not great on ice. I'm heading into my second New England winter and need to be able to walk my dog on ice and in deep snow. My feet get cold very easily. I have these Muck Artic boots and I find them to be just okay. My feet don't feel particularly warm.
I've read that the Sorrel boots (like LL Bean) are not what they used to be. The Baffin boots also get mixed reviews and the ones that are good for extreme cold are not great for walking.
I need something mid-ankle so I can keep the snow out. I don't want to get cleats because I'll probably ruin my floors accidentally. I'm willing to spend up to $300. What would you recommend?
UPDATE: I got the Baffin Chloe boots and they are amazing! My feet are super warm while walking the dog during this 2022 Arctic blast.

Hand warmers in your boots 🥾 Or buy seal skin boots if you really have the money…
