Get your boyfriend a razer mouse, the newer ones come with optical switches meaning they won't have double clicking issues. I'd recommend the viper mini wired or wireless. It all depends on your budget. If you want a cheaper way to clean your peripherals I use a balloon Inflator hand pump.
