GE made awesome stuff in the 1980s.
What about giving it a good brushing and cleaning to spiff it up? Especially brush out those parallel ridges on the top. They collect everything.

If only we had as good of radio stations as we did in the 80's and 90's

Last time I saw one of these was 2002. I was in a sketchy neighborhood and was walking to the gas station to buy a pack of cigs. Some crackhead was trying to sell it for $4.00. I don’t know how much crack you can get for four bucks but I do kinda regret not buying it. Good alarm clock radio. My grandparents had one in the spare room when I used to sleep over as a kid.

Having had experience trying to wake teenagers, the "Sonic Bomb Alarm Clock with Bed Shaker" (still selling on Amazon) is highly effective at causing teenagers to literally fly out of the room.
And this was at the request of said teenager, who really didn't want to be late but just couldn't wake up the normal way.
Of course, it woke everyone in the house, too, but it was super effective.
We eventually coupled it with a medium sized pneumatic air raid horn hack on an independent clock for even more impact. One neighbor wanted the timing rolled forward about 10 minutes or so, so it could accommodate his schedule as well.
The other neighbor was an older deaf lady, so no trauma there.
