What the title says. I carry about [Edit]4 keys on a keychain and it's just not a good experience. How do you guys carry 'em?

Edit: Thanks for the recommendations. Some of you carry dedicated bags or pouches for your keys, I don't wanna do that just for keys. The carabiner stuff looks good though.

In my satchel when it's warm, in my coat when it's cold. Context: I'm a guy, and I started carrying a satchel for this very reason. I now also always have a pocketknife, some napkins and other useful things in there.

Coach Belt Bag. You can carry everything and keep your hands free in style.

Do you have to carry 6 keys? I've tried a bunch of different carabiners and s-biners of various sizes. Currently using one of these, which is working out really well.

My wife has a keywallet. It's a nice thing but bulky, like carrying another wallet. Excellent for a bag, but not very pocketable. And, like the stiff edc holders, you still end up with a car key dangling somewhere.

I don't. I put a keypad deadbolt on my house and have a hidden key as a backup. In 10 years it's never been needed, I just swap rechargeable batteries every few years. The only key I have is my car fob. And that's only until the phone-as-a-key works better on my car.

I put mine on a friendship bracelet, it’s very durable and the bracelet has sentimental value to me so it’s nice that I can use it and see it frequently. You can just untie it to add or subtract keys.

I ask myself that same question about every 6 months as I get lazy and finally decide to unload all the shit from my pockets. The big work ring? Leave it at work. All the backups? Secure at home.

Current rotation is:

1 car key, in my pocket. 1 house key, in my work bag 1 work key, on a belt clip with my work ID card, on my belt. 1 backup work key, in my work bag.

Maximum 2 keys on my person at any one time, and minimal chance of losing more than one of them.

They all live on individual hooks by my front door, so if I get to my car without a car key, I can tell right away that I also don’t have my belt work key, then I shamefully go back inside for both.

Agreed. I have a carabiner with my house keys and If I take my car ill clip on my car key. If I take my wife's car ill hook on her car key. If I take my work truck I hook on that car key. No sense in carrying keys you won't need.

I use a Keysmart because I used to lose my keys too easily (I've even lost them off of carabineers clipped to my belt loops) and I really like that I can have a carabineer that doesn't open so easily, the keys don't jangle and flop anymore, I can have a multi tool and a pocket knife and a flashlight integrated, so it's an all-around EDC for me.

I put a combination lock on one of my house doors. The mail box key lives in a bowl in the house. The only key I carry is my car key. Less keys to carry, less keys to lose.

I keep mine on a lanyard. Easy to find in my pocket or purse and I can wear it when I need to.

Small Nitize S biner. I loop the key ring around the center post of the carabiner and hook the top to my belt loop

I love this key hook from Taylor Stitch: https://www.taylorstitch.com/products/keyhook-in-raw-brass Kinda pricey but when I lost the first one I couldn't find anything quite able to replace it. I can put my keys inside my pocket and slide the hook over my pocket. Keeps the keys from bunching up in the bottom of the pocket and makes it easy to retrieve. Or, if I'm just going in and out quick I can hook everything on the outside of my pocket.

Lanyard all day, loop the lanyard around a belt loop and stash the keys in a pocket. Whip em out when you need to use them and then put them right back. Always attached youll never lose them

How many of them can you replace with a keypad or otherwise keyless lock? The real answer here is less keys whenever possible.

I’ve been using a titanium Quiet Carry key organizer for several years. There are various models depending on the size needed and whether you also want a multi tool or knife in the mix. They also have a pocket clip which was something I was specifically looking for.
