Warning: I'm new to fashion. I'm 6'7 and have a very hard time finding clothes. I'm looking for casual button-down shirts that would fit. Something that I could wear with jeans, and hoping to get a few so nothing crazy expensive. Any advice is appreciated.
When I need tall sizes, I go to SSLR, J. Crew, and Eddie Bauer. I don't really like any of them, but if you're tall, you don't have as many options unless you want to wear really big clothes. I really like Asket, but their prices are very high, especially when you add in the import fees to North America, so I rarely shop there.
I used to shop Burlington until they removed their dress shirt selection. Once you know your size, it's pretty easy to get clothes that fit great. For instance, as a tall guy myself, I just order 16.5 x 34/35 shirts in a slim fit style. They fit every time, regardless of manufacturer.

Came here to say this. LL Bean has tall sizes, the shirts never go out of style and come out of the dryer wrinkle free. I have shirts that are decades old. As a customer of 40 years I highly recommend them.
This is where I go for tall sizes as well. People say the quality has dipped but I’ve bought most of my clothing here for years and haven’t had any issues. The one time I did they replaced it no questions asked and it was likely my fault from incorrectly laundering.
Lands End, I have some going on 10 years old and still going strong.
Lands End has good mens shirts in tall sizes.
how big around is your belly? if you have a belly vs if you are relatively flat/slim is going to make a big difference in where you can shop. shirts for big and tall are not that hard to find. tall but not big is a lot tougher.
Dan Flashes is a very aggressive store. I mean, you walk by a store and you see 50 guys who look just like me fighting over very complicated shirts? You go in.
For tall our go to is lands end. I think that other than random luck if you need tall, buying it for life comes second to buying clothing that fits. I’m tall and the family is all super tall. It’s a constant issue with clothing.
Patagonia and La Sportiva for casual, Wrangler rock 47 for nice stuff (I dress like a hick), carhartt for work wear.
Jos a bank has really long shirts. They also have multiple different “fits” so you can get a long shirt without having is be too wide.
Their stuff always goes on sale for as much as 50-75% off so you gotta shop the sales.

Weird sizing though. I can never find anything that fits right.
6'3 with a long torso here-- I went to Brooks Brothers and found a shirt that fit me, then went on ebay and bought used ones for $5 in the same size/collection. Same with my blazers and sports coats-- $$$$ clothes for $ so long as you don't mind washing them and wearing used stuff.

I’d recommend J. Crew if you want something with brick-and-mortar locations with multiple fits. Their mainline stuff isn’t a bad value on sale, but their elevated Wallace and Barnes line is worth the extra cash.
Other brands up a price tier you could consider are Spier snd Mackay (out of Canada; $8 returns on shirts) or Todd Snyder.
They can be expensive, but it’s totally worth it for the more complex patterns.

I love my Land's End sail rigger oxford cloth button downs. You can dress them up or down, they look great with everything, they're high quality, affordable, and the slightly heavier fabric makes them a little more hard wearing than the average dress shirt.
poshmark, local thrift stores are good places to start and not break the bank.
Brands I look for- Eddie bauer, LLBean, Brooks Brothers (obv if I come across a filson, Woolrich or Pendleton, on the look out be those are more rare).
As others have said, EBAY is another good place for some of this.

I’m not as tall as you but I’ve found success with Corridor NYC (XXL). They are longer without being too wide.
I don’t consider most of my shirts to be BIFL, but I do tend to get quite a bit of life out of them before they get too tired looking.
Unuckit; for the last few years I have been buying from them. They are really great and run specials with amex card most of the time. like the name suggests, you can wear them with out the need to tuck them if you are esp. shorter. I'm 5.8 and most of the other brands are too long for me if I want to wear without tucking. ymmv

I’m 6’5 260lbs- long arms, short torso for my height. For button downs, I’ve had great luck with Jos A Bank. And if you watch the website, they can be picked up for $20 ea.
I'm 6'5" and finding well fitting shirts (or clothes in general) comes with the territory. It gets more challenging if you are a slender/athletic tall as bigger sizes that fit the torso and arm length tend to also widen out and have a lot of extra fabric if you don't have a stomach for it to wrap around. J. Press has the best button down shirts I’ve owned. If you can find vintage Made in USA Brooks Brothers those are nice as well.
Carbon to Cobalt, Orvis have been my go to’s for a few years
Asket maybe? They have letter sizing, but you can also choose between short, medium and long in length on every garment.
I bought expensive ones from Men's Warehouse and one fell apart in the weirdest way after just 10 or so wears and washes. It was like 3 years old, though, so they didn't replace it.
My favorite bifl brands were gitman brothers and seeker. I actually passed my decade-old gitman shirts up to my dad and they're his favorite. Now I like seagale but I wouldn't say it's bifl quality. Outlier is high quality
I go with Duluth. As long as I'm diligent about hanging up the shirts just out of the dryer I never seem to need to iron them. I don't like their pants. The fabric in the pockets is lousy.

Seconding brooks brothers. I have shirts from them that I got as a high school graduation gift that still fit and look brand new.
They have a variety of fits and patterns.
They are on the expensive side but because they last.
6’4” here. Not sure if BIFL but fit wise I’ve found luck with Banana Republic XL Tall. Best of luck!
Costco’s Kirkland button-downs are surprisingly well made. I’d say better than current brooks brothers non wrinkle but not say early aughts brooks brothers. Limited fabric choices but a great value for the money.
Duluth is good but beware the vanity sizing. Their Best Made items are traditionally sized.

I’m 6’5 I’m in the edge of most tops not fittings. Gap, Banana Republic might not be BIFL but they have tall sizes in many styles.
You should seek out a specialist store for bigger guys. Their clothes are made differently to normal clothes. Like, you may have to buy a 3xl for in a normal shirt, just for the added length for your torso. But it’ll probably be huge on you if you are a skinnier guy. Where as these places will have shirts that are made with a longer torso in mind, but not baggy.
