Try an electric lounging blanket, they’re inexpensive, use very little power and have auto shut off etc. Lifesaver for me

Yep, once you get one, you can't go back! I have a small electric 'throw' for the couch and a bigger regular size one for the bed. THen you don't need to heat the house much either which saves $$. OK yeah, it's not BIFL, but saving money should get an honorable mention!
