I'm just looking for something which displays time, has FM presets, gets good reception, and has quality sound. (So I can listen while I cook and clean).

Amazingly, I'm looking all over the internet and haven't been able to find something yet (this is the closest I've found but not crazy about the design: (https://www.amazon.com/Sangean-RCR-22-Tuning-Clock-Radio/dp/B000QUGKRQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2TYYLFE4IE0HJ&keywords=clock%2Bradio%2Bwith%2Bpreset%2Bstation%2Bbuttons%2Bam%2Ffm&qid=1665004827&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjQ4IiwicXNhIjoiMy44NiIsInFzcCI6IjEuNzUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=clock%2Bradio%2Bsta%2Caps%2C88&sr=8-3&th=1)

Any good recommendations? Thanks!

Surprised anyone wants to the listen to the radio these days. A bunch of crappy music with a playlist of the same 20-ish songs on repeat, loaded with a bunch of annoying commercials in between. I haven't tuned into the airwaves since 2001 (Thank you Napster, Limewire, Audiogalaxy, Kazaa, and Youtube.)

You may have to visit a thrift shop and find an older model. I see them regularly. They're probably better built than what's available today.

maybe having a hard time since everything has gone to smart speakers. I think you'd probably be better off with one of those with a clock like the Echo dot or Nest Hub. You can get one a lot cheaper than that clock and it will do so much more, including just playing your favorite FM radio station when you ask it.

I actually already have an Alexa, but the problem is it's always making errors when I ask for stations, and you can't toggle between like 7 stations like I like to do with the radio. (you have to speak to her every time to change the channel rather than just hitting presets to toggle through)

So it's kind of inconvenient for that purpose.

But yeah that makes sense about people needing them less, I was just surprised

Just use your phone + speakers or get a tablet. I use my tablet all the time to play YouTube playlists or whatever I’m wanting to listen while I do something in another room.

If you don't mind buying used then Bose Wave radios show up on FB marketplace regularly. I have a Wave Radio I from the late 90s that sounds great and feels well built, I can't speak for the later models but they seem alright

This is not the subreddit you should be in. We have no idea what best is, we care about long lasting. And good reception is a trick question as the answer is entirely based on AM or FM use. Go to an audio subreddit and axe there, not here.
