Yeah, she was quite a beauty. Burned down in 1978 pretty sure? I’m too young to remember a time before the first smartphones.

I remember taking photos around the burnt out platforms hoping to find the gargoyles . I always wondered what happened to those.

John Mandanici , past Bridgeport Mayor was manager of the store - ran his crime syndicate from there until he moved it to City Hall in the 70's. FBI never got him but they tried.

Wanna hear more about this crime syndicate. I’m aware from my reading that Mandanici was the 70s Bridgeport mayor and former manager of that A&P… but that’s all lol. Curious…

Looks like the old train station in the background it had gargoyles on it . Burned down in the 80’s I think .
