This isn't a singular person and quite far from the question but the British empire, the British empire owned 2/3 of the world and even though what they did and how they did may been seen as wrong. its still pretty badass how a tiny country had that much power over the world.

Eleanor of Aquitaine was pretty badass. Ruler in her own right of her own Duchy, married to two King. Involved in the Crusades and more.
She lived to be in her 80s at a time women commonly died in childbirth.

Yes. She was Queen of France first and then the Queen of England. She was the mother of Richard the Lionheart.
